　　yet用于否定句和疑問句中及用于表示懷疑的動詞之后,意思是“還,尚,仍然,直至現(xiàn)在”,在英式英語中通常用于現(xiàn)在或過去完成時,在美式英語中通常用于一般過去時。

　　yet用于疑問句中,還可作“已經(jīng)”“還”“仍然”解,通常放在句末。

　　yet用于肯定句中,可表示“還”“尚”,有時含有“還為時太早”之意; 與形容詞或副詞的比較級連用時意為“甚至,更”“還要”,與最高級連用意為“到目前〔當時〕為止(最…)”。

　　yet還可與表示未來含意的情態(tài)習語be to或have to連用構成“be yet to”或“have yet to”結構。
