范文
I was then 14 years old and was very fond of quiz shows. Both of us were enjoying the programme and a few minutes later my father asked me about my school. That was a bit embarrassing to talk about since my recent exam result was disappointing. He then told me some fascinating stories from his childhood and how he felt about school, study and other stuff. My father has a natural talent for telling compelling stories or maybe I love his stories because I like him very much. At one point I was so amazed to learn that he was very much like me and had more passion for playing, hanging out with friends than studying. He then explained me the importance of studying very attentively and how my academic performance will determine my future. If the advice had not been received from my father, I might have taken it very lightly. But when he told me how he had changed himself and achieved excellence in his academic results and how that has helped him to achieve a career he always dreamt about, I took it very seriously. The best point about this conversation was that I did not feel like I was being lectured or intentionally delivered some good advice. I thought about what my father advised me and I was really captivated about the idea that my academic excellence can someday make me a person I want to be. I was really enthralled about what I want to be in the future and my father’s advice made it clear to me that I will have to study hard to achieve this in my life.
I won’t say I have achieved an excellent academic record, but this advice helped me to become interested in learning and studying. Things could have been quite different for me if I did not receive the advice in proper time. This is the reason I consider it as the best advice I have ever received from anyone. This advice grew the interest of reading and learning in me and that’s the best part in my life so far.

范文
The useful skill I obtained in a math class from my primary school is the multiplication form. This form is made up of results of multiplications between all the numbers from 1 to 9. For example, 2 multiply eight equals 16 and 3 multiply 7 equals 21. It is usually presented in the shape of stairs, and knowing it enables us to get the resultsof multiplications quickly.
This form is a compulsory content for all the pupils around China in their primary education. From day one, I spent a great deal of time familiarizing, learning and practicing it so that I will not forget it for my whole life. It has become my instinct and I can still speak out these numbers without thinking.
It was a middle-aged female teacher who taught me this form. At that time, I was quite numb and a slow learner. Even if it was a very simple question, I could get the result wrong. However, the teacher would not criticize me, but patiently explain again and again and guide me through the computing process. Finally, I caught up with my classmates and masteredthis form.
It is very useful in life. When we are shopping, we often need to do some simple calculation so that the goods will not exceed our budget. Without a calculator at hand, I often resort to this multiplication form to get my numbers and it never goes wrong.

How would you feel if you were banned from using cellphone for a month?
范文
Cellular phones have had a major impact on our lives and the way that we perform everyday tasks. Many of these changes are apparent, while others we may not even be aware of.
Cell phones have brought a whole new meaning to the term multitasking. Twenty years ago, it was not possible to talk to the office while you were at the grocery store picking up some necessary items. You could never have had a three-way business conference while you were fixing dinner or been able to deal with a business client from home while caring for a sick child. Cell phones have enabled us to do various tasks all at the same time.
Cell phones have also enabled families to keep in closer touch with each other. Children can contact you if they have missed their ride form soccer practice and your spouse can call while he is stuck in traffic to let you know that he is going to be late for supper. Teenagers are able to call to ask permission to go somewhere, and with GPS features that are now available on some cell phones, you are able to check to make sure that they are where they are supposed to be.
Many of these advantages we do not even notice. Have you ever arrived at the grocery store and realized that you have forgotten your grocery list? The first thing you would probably do is to call home and have one of your children read the list off to you. In the same situation in past years, you may have forgotten things or have had to drive all the way back home to get it. If your car breaks down, you automatically call for help instead of having to walk to find a pay phone. Cell phones have certainly made our lives much more convenient.
Cell phones have also changed the way that people interact with each other. When we call someone, we are actually calling the person and not a place. This enables us to be more spontaneous when making plans as you rarely get a busy signal and unlike a land line telephone, someone is always home. Cell phones also enable us to call if we are going to be late for an appointment, although this has led to cell phone users running late more often than those who do not have cell phones. These users seem to have adopted the attitude that appointment times are not concrete and use their cell phones to renegotiate their arrival time.

范文
The item I am going to talk about is the power bank. It is a small device that can charge your phone when you are away from any socket. As most of us cannot endure a minute without cellphones, many people have the habit of bringing one wherever they go. But I do not.
One day, I was taking a coach back home and talking with my girlfriend over the phone to kill time. Somehow, we started quarreling with each other. I do not even remember why. I was so agitated that I did not notice that my mobile battery was running low. Suddenly, I was cut off and my phone was dead.
Do you know how angry and horrible a girlfriend can be when you cut off her call? Not to mention that we were in a fight. I seemed to see the god of death was waving to me. I was a little panic. The girl sitting beside me must have noticed my unease. She asked me if I needed any help, and after learning about what happened, she lent me her power bank.
At that moment, she was my angel. I was so thankful to the man who invented the power bank and even more thankful to the girl.
