結(jié)論，還不如先給出topic sentence, 然后再詳細(xì)解釋。因此，結(jié)構(gòu)方面，建議考生們采取topic sentence + details的方式。

2. 細(xì)節(jié)

同學(xué)們?cè)跍?zhǔn)備獨(dú)立口語題的時(shí)候，最頭疼的就是不知道該怎么闡述自己的理由。其實(shí)每個(gè)人都能說上一兩句，關(guān)鍵是ETS要求”well-developed details”，這就成為了大家攻破第1,2題的難點(diǎn)。

從學(xué)英語開始，我們就練習(xí)過很多造句，所以自然養(yǎng)成一句話解決問題的習(xí)慣。上課過程中，經(jīng)常發(fā)現(xiàn)同學(xué)們喜歡用這樣的句式“觀點(diǎn)概括 + because + 一句理由”。這邊放一個(gè)”because”, 自己就把自己限定死了，尤其是后面還高頻出現(xiàn)”(because) I can …”, 這樣想多說一點(diǎn)都不知道該怎么講。

所以剛開始，還是建議大家先用簡(jiǎn)單的句子把整個(gè)理由說清楚、說完整，然后我們?cè)倏紤]怎么變換成更高級(jí)的句式。

下面我主要談一下理由的選擇。因?yàn)榘l(fā)現(xiàn)大家一旦覺得自己是在“答題”，思路就堵住了，不是完全想不出理由，就是想到很多“官方”的話，很大很空，沒什么實(shí)質(zhì)內(nèi)容。在選取理由上，我覺得有兩個(gè)辦法還是很好用的：一是以小見大；二是個(gè)人觀點(diǎn)。

(1) 以小見大

這個(gè)是防止“假大空”理由的一個(gè)有效辦法。我們?cè)趯懻撐牡臅r(shí)候都有過類似的經(jīng)驗(yàn)，要想在1萬字不到的篇幅里把一個(gè)問題闡述清楚，選取的題目肯定不能太大，否則很難駕馭，結(jié)果往往是只能泛泛而談。好比現(xiàn)在要寫一篇關(guān)于英語口語的論文，選什么題目呢？我們心里面會(huì)有很多想法，語音語調(diào)、連讀、用詞、習(xí)語，什么都想講，但一定不能什么都講。

最好的辦法就是只選1,2個(gè)點(diǎn)，深入展開。我就是講連讀的問題，然后慢慢分析。說得細(xì)一點(diǎn)，再舉幾個(gè)例子，連讀說得好是什么效果(比如Friends里的對(duì)話)，不好又是個(gè)什么結(jié)果(比如傳說中的”not at all”)。有具體的東西，才不會(huì)顯得那么“官方”，才好引起共鳴。

其實(shí)獨(dú)立口語題主要考的是闡述理由的能力，不是你的觀點(diǎn)。觀點(diǎn)鮮明就好，不需要刻意提升到某個(gè)高度。有個(gè)題同學(xué)們始終答不好”When choosing a job, do you prefer the one which offers a high salary, or the one that gives you a sense of self-accomplishment？”看到這題，大家一般的反應(yīng)是這樣的high salary → 自我否定(要高尚)self-accomplishment→ 想不出理由(因?yàn)椴皇亲约赫嬲挠^點(diǎn))。

其實(shí)，這道題選哪一個(gè)都講得起來。我就是選high salary, 那要怎么解釋？不是說”personal opinion/preference”么？那你就說”I think the job with a high salary offers me a sense of self-accomplishment ….”然后再具體解釋原因，比如“我覺得高薪工作常與有挑戰(zhàn)性的工作相掛鉤”，或是“薪水高了就能給家人提供更好的生活”，等等。還是那句話，能自圓其說就好。
