注意在選項(xiàng)中查找表示結(jié)果、結(jié)論、總結(jié)等的信號詞,如therefore,as a result,thus,hence,in short,to sum up,to conclude,in a word等詞語。

Building Trust in a Relationship Again
Trust is a learned behavior that we gain from past experiences.36 Trust is a risk. But you can’t be successful when there’s a lack of trust in a relationship that results from an action where the wrongdoer takes no responsibility to fix the mistake.
Unfortunately,we’ve all been victims of betrayal.Whether we’ve been stolen from, lied to,misled,or cheated on,there are different levels of losing trust.Sometimes people simply can’t trust anymore.37 It’s understandable, but if you’re willing to build trust in a relationship again,we have some steps you can take to get you there.
•38 Having confidence in yourself will help you make better choices because you can see what the best outcome would be for your wellbeing.
•39 If you’ve been betrayed, you are the victim of your circumstance. But there’s a difference between being a victim and living with a “victim mentality”.At some point in all of our lives,we’ll have our trust tested or violated.
•You didn’t lose “everything”.Once trust is lost, what is left? Instead of looking at the situation from this hopeless angle, look at everything you still have and be thankful for all of the good in your life.40 Instead,it’s a healthy way to work through the experience to allow room for positive growth and forgiveness.
A.Learn to really trust yourself.
B.It is putting confidence in someone.
C.Stop regarding yourself as the victim.
D.Remember that you can expect the best in return.
E.They’ve been too badly hurt and they can’t bear to let it happen again.
F.This knowledge carries over in their attitude toward their future relationships.
G.Seeing the positive side of things doesn’t mean you’re ignoring what happened.
Trust is a learned behavior that we gain from past experiences.(信任是我們從以往經(jīng)歷中獲得的習(xí)得行為。)
They’ve been too badly hurt and they can’t bear to let it happen again.(他們曾經(jīng)受過嚴(yán)重傷害,不能容忍這種事情再次發(fā)生。) Sometimes people simply can’t trust anymore.(有時(shí)候人們就是不能再信任別人。)
38.答案 A
并且選項(xiàng)A.Learn to really trust yourself.(學(xué)會(huì)真正信任你自己。) trust yourself相當(dāng)于have confidence in yourself。
If you’ve been betrayed, you are the victim of your circumstance. But there’s a difference between being a victim and living with a “victim mentality”.(如果你遭遇了背叛,那么你就成為客觀環(huán)境的受害者。 選項(xiàng)C.Stop regarding yourself as the victim.(不要把自己當(dāng)作受害者。)
40.答案 G
解析 Seeing the positive side of things doesn’t mean you’re ignoring what happened.(看到事情的積極方面并不意味著你對發(fā)生的事情視而不見。) Instead,it’s a healthy way...for positive...(相反,這是一個(gè)健康的方式……)

E.If they still feel good, you can begin running in them
F.Time spent for preparation raises the quality of training
G.Now you are ready to figure out a goal of improving distance and time
16.答案 C
解析 根據(jù)該空后面提供的語境buy the bestfitting, bestbuilt running shoes you can find(購買你能找到的最合適的、最好的跑鞋)可知,這是為了跑馬拉松而進(jìn)行的準(zhǔn)備,這應(yīng)該是在進(jìn)行馬拉松訓(xùn)練之前做的事情,故選C項(xiàng)“Before you begin your training”。
When you have found shoes that seem right, walk in them for a few days to doublecheck the fit.(當(dāng)你發(fā)現(xiàn)似乎合適的鞋子時(shí),穿著走動(dòng)幾天,再次檢查其舒適度。) 另外feel good與the fit相對應(yīng)。故選E。
18.答案 A
During the first week,do not think about distance, but run five minutes longer each day.(在第一周的時(shí)候,不要考慮跑了多遠(yuǎn),但是每天都要比前一天多跑5分鐘。)提到了the first week,即7天,空格后面說it is wise to take a day off to rest(休息一天是明智的),這樣剩余的就是6天,與A項(xiàng)相關(guān)。
But during the next week, set a goal of at least a mile and a half per run.(但是在接下來的一周,樹立每次至少跑1.5英里的目標(biāo)。)
After two weeks, start timing yourself.(兩周后,開始給自己計(jì)時(shí)。)可知,這里的timing與G項(xiàng)中的improving distance and time意義相關(guān)。

Evaluating Sources(來源) of Health Information
Making good choices about your own health requires reasonable evaluation.A key first step in bettering your evaluation ability is to look carefully at your sources of health information.Reasonable evaluation includes knowing where and how to find relevant information, how to separate fact from opinion, how to recognize poor reasoning, and how to analyze information and the reliability of sources.71
Go to the original source.Media reports often simplify the results of medical research.Find out for yourself what a study really reported, and determine whether it was based on good science.Think about the type of study.72
Watch for misleading language. Some studies will find that a behavior “contributes to”or is “associated with”an outcome;this does not mean that a certain course must lead to a certain result.73 Carefully read or listen to information in order to fully understand it.
Use your common sense. If a report seems too good to be true, probably it is.Be especially careful of information contained in advertisements.74 Evaluate “scientific”statements carefully, and be aware of quackery(江湖騙術(shù)).
75 Friends and family members can be a great source of ideas and inspiration, but each of us needs to find a healthy lifestyle that works for us.
Developing the ability to evaluate reasonably and independently about health problems will serve you well throughout your life.
A.Make choices that are right for you.
B.The goal of an ad is to sell you something.
C.Be sure to work through the critical questions.
D.And examine the findings of the original research.
E.Distinguish between research reports and public health advice.
F.Be aware that information may also be incorrectly explained by an author’s point of view.
G.The following suggestions can help you sort through the health information you receive from common sources.
Go to the original source.(去探尋最初的來源。)
Be especially careful of information contained in advertisements.(對廣告中所包含的信息一定要特別當(dāng)心。)
75.答案 A
解析 由該段中but each of us needs to find a healthy lifestyle that works for us可知,盡管我們有來自家人及朋友的大量信息,但歸根結(jié)底還是要依靠我們自己來作出正確的選擇。
