The best mistake I ever made was when I was 24 years old and a senior at New York University(NYU).At the time,I was planning to get a law and business degree after graduation and wasn’t even job hunting.
One day,1 walked into the student center looking to get a soda, but instead found a roomful of students wearing suits and ties and holding a stack of resumes(簡歷).Clearly,I had accidentally walked into a job fair.I was casually dressed and had a scarf on my head because I hadn’t washed my hair that morning.I tried to walk across the hall when a man stopped me with his hand reached out.“Hi,my Dame is Donny McKenthan.Would you like to work for IBM?”I replied,“Uh,no thank you,I’m just getting something to drink from that machine over them.”
I ended up having a wonderful conversation with him,but I told him there was no why he could convince me.My course was set. I went out for dinner that night with some friends. When I mentioned my story, they could n’t believe I was foolish enough to turn down interviewing with this amazing company! I went home that night, dug out his card from the garbage bin and called him back.
After a series of successful interviews,an IBM manager called me to extend an offer, which would be followed up in a few days in writing. When I asked what the salary was,he cryptically(含糊其辭)said $ 18.In my mind,I thought $ 18,000 a year was low, given what I had been earning for part—time work paying my way through NYU.So I told him I thought I should earn more, and started to negotiate. He was surprised and explained that the starting salary for all trainees was set in store.
The next day,I received the offer in the mail.As it turns out,I misunderstood the offer—I would earn class="main">

Some people prefer Google when exploring the Web.Some like Yahoo Or Bing. But now more than 2.5 million people are using Ecosia a month, because every time they click“Search”they help plant a tree.
Ecosia donates an impressive 80 percent of its income, after expenses,to the programs that flow trees in Africa. The money,up to ,000 a month(most of it from ads),is responsible for four new trees every minute, according to Ecosia spokesperson Jacey Bingler.

The age of reliable security is gone.E-mail will never be completely secure for everybody 36 Most messages are sent as plain, easily readable, unencrypted text from your sending device to your e-mail service(Gmail or whatever),to your receivers’ e-mail services, and from there to their devices.Encryption(加密)is a rare, partial and inconvenient solution.
37 You could use,for example, all encrypted chat program such as Cryptocat,ChatSecure or PQ Chat. But that approach isn ’t the solution, because the same app has to be on both ends of the conversation. 38
There are“unhackable”services, too, with names like Tutanota and Posteo.39 So once again,they’11 never become universal. If you’re not a public figure or politician, your greatest source of protection is your unknown identity.Frankly, the hackers are generally uninterested in getting into the e-mail of nobodies.
No matter who you are,the only good advice is to remember the joke that’s been popping up online lately:“Dance like no one is watching.” 40
A.But there’s a charge to use them.
B.Surely e-mail will soon be out of date.
C.Actually e-mail was never intended to be secure.
D.There are ways to communicate securely,of course.

G.As a result, those chat programs will never be as universal as e-mail.
