In everyday life, people take for granted that some people are good at things and some people are not. But I have always believed that human beings are capable of far more than they realise. It is this interest in human potential that motivates me to want to work as an Educational Psychologist.
I have always had an interest in the human mind, but never considered working in this field. However, personal experience of ADHD and autism led me to volunteer at an autistic unit in a local primary school, which I have now been at for almost two years. Whilst there, I realised that my interest in the Autistic Spectrum and ADHD was more than a passing curiosity. My experience at the school provided me with a deeper understanding of these conditions, and, combined with my interests in educational psychology and technologies such as entrainment and biofeedback, led me to consider the potential application of these to assist such children in reaching their full potential. One day I returned home with a sense of exhiliration, and realised that helping autistic children was something that I wanted to pursue as a professional psychologist.
I have also worked voluntarily as a teaching assistant at a local college. My duties included creating certificates, writing course manuals, and supervised teaching. In addition, I was comissioned by the charity DYCF to teach relaxation techniques to "difficult teens" as part of a remedial programme, and wrote a report of recommendation. This demonstrates that I am able to empathise and interact with a variety of people in a range of educational settings, as well as cope with a high workload.
I spent some time researching careers in psychology and it was quite clear that Educational Psychology was the route for me. Although I had studied Counselling Skills in --- and DD100: Introduction to the Social Sciences previously with the Open University, it was of course a case of preparing myself for Higher Education. So in 2008 I enrolled on DSE212: Exploring Psychology, with the Open University. My overall assesment score on DD100 had been 81, but of course it has been a while since my last formal academic study. Hence I was pleased to receive my first essay back from the Open University ----, scored at 83, giving much promise for my future studies.
At the same time, however, I have worked hard to overcome my difficulty with mathematics. So I enrolled on GCSE Mathematics: Foundation. I recently used accelerated learning protocols such as mnemonics and entrainment to learn my timestables in just under two weeks, and have also enrolled on a second course for extra help. Because of this, I am now confident of achieving a grade C in Mathematics, and believe that this demonstrates my committed and creative approach to learning, as well as my practical application of psychological research.
I read psychological articles and reports in New Scientist, Scientific American, and Psychology Today. I also keep up to date by researching psychology online, and have a particular interest in the research of the HeartMath and Monroe Institutes, and the application of their research and technology within education and therapy. My latest read has been Human Givens: a new approach to emotional health and clear thinking, by Joe Griffin and Ivan Tyrrell (20_).
Having a keen analytical mind as well as a deep empathy for working with children, I look forward to continuing my study of Psychology. My ultimate aim is to apply psychological techniques to help the autistic and ADHD populations achieve their full potential, and hopefully add to and expand the current theoretical understanding of these conditions.

一、韓國(guó)留學(xué)本科申條件
1、語(yǔ)言要求
韓語(yǔ)三級(jí)以上。
如果語(yǔ)言達(dá)不到入學(xué)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的話,必須現(xiàn)在專業(yè)的語(yǔ)言學(xué)校學(xué)習(xí)語(yǔ)言。等到通過語(yǔ)言學(xué)校的考試之后才能轉(zhuǎn)入報(bào)考的本科學(xué)校學(xué)習(xí)。這就是我們常說(shuō)的雙錄取,就是指擁有大學(xué)錄取通知書跟語(yǔ)言學(xué)校的通知書倆分通知書。
2、學(xué)歷背景要求
要求報(bào)考人必須得是高中或者以上的同等學(xué)力才行,而且不同的大學(xué)對(duì)普通的學(xué)習(xí)成績(jī)也有一定的要求。
3、高中在讀、高中畢業(yè)或者以上的同等學(xué)歷。
申請(qǐng)去韓國(guó)讀本科雖然入學(xué)容易,但是很多比較好的大學(xué)都會(huì)多一些相關(guān)的條件。主要的錄取很多還是取決于導(dǎo)師,導(dǎo)致很多同學(xué)落選還不知道落選的原因。
二、韓國(guó)留學(xué)本科申請(qǐng)流程
1、網(wǎng)上報(bào)名
現(xiàn)在韓國(guó)大部分大學(xué)都是采用的網(wǎng)上報(bào)名系統(tǒng)。需要進(jìn)入報(bào)名的網(wǎng)站,注冊(cè)會(huì)員,上傳照片 , 填寫相關(guān)報(bào)名表格。另外,現(xiàn)在大部分學(xué)校的申請(qǐng)文書也是需要直接在報(bào)名系統(tǒng)上填寫的。
2、支付報(bào)名費(fèi)
一般在成功提交報(bào)名資料后就可以結(jié)算報(bào)名費(fèi)了,根據(jù)學(xué)校的不同情況,有的需要在線支付,有的可以生成虛擬賬號(hào),在韓國(guó)銀行轉(zhuǎn)賬就可以,費(fèi)用成功支付完畢,點(diǎn)擊結(jié)算,打印出相關(guān)的報(bào)名表格,這樣網(wǎng)申以及繳費(fèi)就告一個(gè)段落了。需要溫馨提示一下,大部分學(xué)校在成功繳費(fèi)完成以后就不可以再修改入學(xué)申請(qǐng)書了,所以大家在最后確認(rèn)的環(huán)節(jié)一定要慎重再慎重。
3、提交申請(qǐng)資料
網(wǎng)上報(bào)名結(jié)束以后,就要根據(jù)學(xué)校的資料清單準(zhǔn)備好相應(yīng)的書面材料,在截止日期之前交到學(xué)校指定的地點(diǎn),可以郵寄材料也可以親自去送交。建議大家最好在截止日之前送交全部的材料,雖然有時(shí)候?qū)W校會(huì)提供一定的補(bǔ)全材料時(shí)間,但是為了保險(xiǎn)起見,盡量在截止時(shí)間之前全部交齊。
4、審核資料
學(xué)校會(huì)在接受到申請(qǐng)人的材料以后進(jìn)入審核階段,這期間對(duì)于材料需要補(bǔ)充的申請(qǐng)者進(jìn)行通知補(bǔ)件,對(duì)于沒有達(dá)到申請(qǐng)要求的學(xué)生,學(xué)校會(huì)要求補(bǔ)充材料,或者告知材料沒有通過審核。但是有些學(xué)校也會(huì)沒有什么反饋,不會(huì)告訴你任何事情,直接讓等結(jié)果。
5、通知入學(xué)測(cè)試以及面試(非必要環(huán)節(jié))
材料沒有問題的話,學(xué)校會(huì)通知進(jìn)行入學(xué)測(cè)試,藝術(shù)技能考核或者面試,當(dāng)然并不是所有的學(xué)校都有面試的,這個(gè)要看學(xué)校的具體安排,有的可能有筆試但是沒有面試,有的學(xué)校是直接面試,有的學(xué)校是全部的材料審核。這個(gè)要根據(jù)每個(gè)學(xué)校的招生要求具體來(lái)看。
6、公布錄取結(jié)果
學(xué)校會(huì)把結(jié)果放到自己的系統(tǒng)上,跟高考查分?jǐn)?shù)流程相同,輸入自己的準(zhǔn)考證號(hào),就可以看到自己的錄取結(jié)果了。當(dāng)然你有可能收到的是一個(gè)預(yù)錄取,學(xué)校會(huì)要求你在規(guī)定的時(shí)間內(nèi)提交合格的語(yǔ)言成績(jī)才可以順利入學(xué)。

2、直接讀韓國(guó)大學(xué)的本科
學(xué)歷要求:申請(qǐng)韓國(guó)大學(xué)本科是不需要中國(guó)高考成績(jī)的,只需要滿足國(guó)內(nèi)12年教育經(jīng)歷,獲得高中(中專,職高)以上學(xué)歷,獲得相應(yīng)畢業(yè)證書即可。
語(yǔ)言要求:普遍TOPIK3級(jí)以上。根據(jù)申請(qǐng)學(xué)校和專業(yè)的不同,韓語(yǔ)等級(jí)的要求也不同。
