英語(yǔ)作文成功的方法1:
There is no doubt that everyone wants to be successful, but the point is how to achieve success. In my opinion, Lincoln’s remark “give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four hours sharpening the axe” perfectly answers the question. That is to say, one should make preparations beforehand.
First, you should persist in learning. Only in that way can you keep up with the changing society. If you give up studying while taking a job, you will find yourself replaced by younger people in a couple of years. Knowledge will do you a good return even as a means of subsistence. Charles Darwin has managed to squeeze one hour a day for study. But how remarkable he has been!
Second, you should put what you have learned into practice. A man of words and not of deeds is like a garden full of weeds. People who act their words immediately can actually hold the opportunity and turn the possibility of success into real achievement instead of looking at success slip away just for inability of executive force.
Preparation is the casting mould of success. So if you are fully prepared, success is watching eagerly to see you just around the corner.

Once I asked my father what the secret of success was. He didn't say a word, but wrote a few words on a piece of paper and handed it to me. I looked at the paper. on it was written:A=X+Y+Z.
"What does it mean?"I asked.
"A means success, ”explained my father. "X means hard, Y means good ways, and Z means you must stop talking and start to work."
That's right. From then on, I tried my best to be better.

By Miss Xu Zizhen from Class One Grade 10 in Applied Chemistry
According to Abraham Lincoln’s famous remark, “give me six hours to chop down a tree, and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.”, it tells us that preparation is a crucial part which contributes to success.
Success is not achieved by sheer luck. To reach something that you want, you should be patient and make endeavors to prepare well. One, who wants to be the winner of his life, should not take everything as a gamble but to grasp his time and convert it into something valuable. With sufficient preparation, you may find things go smoothly, and then it makes you more confident and more likely to succeed.
It takes people a lot to achieve success. Luck works at intervals but not always. So it is not trustworthy. The most useful key to success is your one-hundred percent preparation, from which you learn how to save time, how to work efficiently, and how to reduce negative factors. Therefore, if you want to make an achievement, start your preparation and insist on it. And then you will succeed one day.
