arise多以抽象名詞作主語(yǔ),意思是“出現(xiàn),開(kāi)始,呈現(xiàn)”。
arise也可表示“從…站起來(lái)”,這是舊式用法; arise表示“起床”,是正式而又常用的用法; arise指一個(gè)團(tuán)體或民族“站立起來(lái)”時(shí),特指正當(dāng)權(quán)力的取得或政治地位的提高。
arise還可表示“起因于,由…而產(chǎn)生”等意義,與from和out of搭配,表示因果關(guān)系。
arise還可用作系動(dòng)詞,后面可接形容詞作表語(yǔ)。
