  日常相關(guān)英語情景對話:相貌

A: Let’s play a little game. I’ll describe someone and you try and guess who it is.

B: OK. I’m really bored at the moment.

A: OK. This man is tall and slim. He’s got blue eyes and curly brown hair.

B: Does he have a moustache or a beard?

A: Good question. Yes, he has a moustache, but no beard.

B: Sounds like Mike, is it?

A: Yes, it is. You describe someone we both know.

B: Right. She’s not very tall and she’s quite plump.

She’s got blonde hair, but I don’t know what color her eyes are.

A: Is she attractive? I don’t think I know anyone like that.

B: Well, I don’t find her attractive, but I’m sure you would disagree.

A: I like slim girls, so I doubt I would find a plump girl attractive. You’ll have to

  give me some more information.

B: She’s got tiny feet and wears really unfashionable shoes. In fact, she wears

  unfashionable clothes too.

A: This doesn’t sound like anyone I know. I give up. Tell me who she is.

  B: She’s your mother!

A: How embarrassing! I don’t even recognize a description of my own mother!

How important do you think appearance is ?

  B: I think that unfortunately it’s more important than a person’s character.

Advertising and stuff tells us that we have to be attractive. I think it’s wrong, but that’s the way the world is now.

A: I’m afraid you’re right. I chose my girlfriend because she has a wonderful

  personality.

B: Well, you certainly didn’t choose her because of her looks! Hey, I was joking!

  Don’t hit me!

  日常相關(guān)英語情景對話:身體部分

A: I hate it when footballers spit on the football pitch during a game. It’s disgusting. I wonder why they do it?

B: I’ve no idea, but spitting is common in many countries.

  A: Isn’t impolite and unsanitary?

B: It’s certainly unsanitary. There are many customs in other countries that may seem strange to us. For example, in Thailand, you should never touch someone on the head.

A: Interesting. I know that in some countries, you shouldn’t blow your nose in front of other people.

B: I think that’s a good custom. I hate it when people do that.

A: A common habit that I hate is chewing with your mouth open. Luckily, adults rarely do it. It seems that kids grow out of it.

B: Do you often scratch your head when you are thinking?

A: Yes, I do. I wonder why people do that? Oh look, I’m doing it now!

B: I rub my chin when I’m thinking. My mother scratches her nose.

A; I’ve got a question for you. Which part of the body do you find most attractive.

B: oh, the eyes-definitely. I really think you can tell a lot about a person’s personality from their eyes.

A: I agree. Which part of the body do you find least attractive?

B: the feet! Why are people’s feet so ugly?

A: I don’t know, but according to this magazine survey, most people agree with you that the feet are the most unattractive part of the body and that eyes are the most attractive.

B: Really? What else does the survey say?

  日常相關(guān)英語情景對話:婚姻與約會

A: How are you wedding plans going?

B: Very well. We started organizing everything early to avoid a last minute rush to get things done. The only thing that isn’t ready yet is my wedding dress.

A: When will that be ready?

B: The dressmakers said that is would be ready in two weeks.

A: You’re getting married in three weeks. So that should be ok. So, you’ve prepared the church, catering, transport, hotel-everything.

B: Yes. We’ve taken care of all of that. We decided not to get married in a church though. Neither of us is very religious.

A: Which hotel will the reception be held at?

B: The palace hotel they’re taking care of the catering, including the wedding cake. I’m sure they’ll do a good job.

A; Oh, yes. It’s and excellent hotel. A friend of mine had her wedding reception there and said it was perfect, though very expensive.

B: Yes. It will be expensive, but we think it will be worth it. It gives us great peace of mind to know that our reception is in the hands of experienced people.

A: I think you make the right decision.

A: Hello Mary. I haven’t seen you for ages. Are you still seeing Paul?

B: No. We broke up last month. I’m taking a break from dating for a while.

A: Did you break up amicably? Sometimes couples row a lot before splitting up.

B: We just decided to stop seeing each other. It was all very amicable. Are you still going out with mike?

a: Yes, I am. We’re thinking about getting engaged. We’ve been dating for over a year now.

b: Good for you! Have you seen Kelly recently? Is she still dating nick?

A; I havn’t seen her for a while. She stopped seeing nick because he was cheating on her. He was seeing a girl form his office. One day, she saw them holding hands and ended the relationship immediately.

B: She was right to do that. I heard the neil and tina getting married soon.

A: Really? They’ve been together for a long time. When are they getting married?

B: I think it’s 26th September. I’ll check and make sure that tina remembers to invite you to the hen night.

A: Thanks. Hey, look at that guy over there. I think he fancies you.

B: He certainly looks interested, doesn’t he? Shall we invite him over to our table?

A: I had a big argument with david yesterday. I hope he’s not still mad at me.

B: what did you argue about?

A: he borrowed some money from me and I needed it back. He said he didn’t have the money yet.

B: well, he should pay out back. It’s only fair.

A: yes, but is got angry with him too quickly. He probably thought that I mistrusted him. I shouldn’t have got angry.

B; did you lend him a lot of money?

A; not much. I had to pay an unexpected bill, so I needed the money back.

B; well, talk to him about it next time you see him. He probably feels as bad about it as you do. Close friends sometimes have disagreements. It’s nothing unusual. Neither of you said anything really nasty, did you?

A: no , we didn’t. I guess you’re right. We should patch things up.

B: of course you should. You wouldn’t want a silly argument to ruin a long friendship, would you?

  日常相關(guān)英語情景對話:好友

A: what kind of qualities do you look for in your friends?

B: I like people who are open and friendly. Those people are usually more active and fun to be with. I like spending time with my friends. We go to bars together or play sports together.

A: I don’t like to make friends with people who aren’t honest. Honesty is very important to me.

B: I think it’s important to most people. The problem is that you can usually only find out if someone is honest by getting to know them.

A; you can find out from their friends.

B: if you know any of their friends. You can’t rely on your friends to introduce people to you all the time. You have to go out and make the first move sometimes. I also like funny people.

A: oh, I don’t. they don’t seem to take anything seriously. You never know when they are joking and when they are being serious.

B: sometimes it can be hard to tell, but if you know the person fairly well, you can usually see from their expression what they are really thinking.

A: it seems that we generally like different kinds of people. How is it that we are such good friends?

B; maybe people don’t like to have friends that are all same. Most people like a little variety in their lives-including a variety of characteristics in their friends.
