A: Jane is a rather timid person and was apprehensive about riding the roller coaster.
B: She was intimidated by its height and the speed.
A: She was also alarmed by the panic-stricken screams of girls who got on the ride first.
B: She was terrified, but she got on because her boyfriend went with her.

timid: 害怕的,尤指因?yàn)樾碌幕虿皇煜さ沫h(huán)境所引起的恐懼;易受驚的,膽怯的;羞怯的。
apprehensive: 基于現(xiàn)實(shí)考慮或理性分析而對未來有所擔(dān)憂或恐懼。
roller roaster: 過山車。
alarm: 充滿了恐懼的。
panic-stricken: 被恐懼鎮(zhèn)住的,幾乎做出失去理性且瘋狂的行為或反應(yīng)。
terrified: 被恐懼嚇倒了的,害怕的。
