看美劇學(xué)英語:I'm just saying的不同用法
I'm just saying.
I'm not trying to offend you anything.I'm just saying what I think is the truth. Please don't be mad at me.(我不是成心要冒犯你,只是說出了我認(rèn)為的原因罷了。
Teresa: You'll be playing with fire if you go out with Justin. You should be careful.(你如果接受Justin的追求的話,你就是在玩火。
Miriam: How dare you? Are you accusing him of something? Are you accusing me of being stupid?(你怎么可能這樣說?
Teresa: Hey.
Elizabeth: Do you have any plans this Saturday?(這個星期六你有什么安排嗎?)
Lillian: Not yet.(還沒有。)
Elizabeth: then come to book swap! It should be a lot of fun. You know, Jason is coming too!(那你來參加我們的換書活動吧!
Lillian: What does that have to do with me? I have a boyfriend now. I’m not interested in Jason any more!(他來不來關(guān)我什么事啊?
Elizabeth: I'm just saying .(我隨口說說而已,你別歪曲。)
三、不愿意否定錯誤的人經(jīng)常用“I'm just saying.” 他/她確實(shí)已經(jīng)知道自己錯了,只是以為直接說“You are right.”(你說的對)太沒體面,所以通過這句“I'm just saying."表白。
Lewis: That film critic should be fired.(這個影評人應(yīng)當(dāng)被炒掉。)
Robert: What did he say?(他說了什么啊?)
Lewis: He said the Departed was adapted from a Chinese film.(他說《無間道風(fēng)波》改編自中文電影。)
Robert: Yeah. right. Infernal affairs. I believe.(對啊,我想是《無間道》。)
Lewis: But that's a Hong Kong film! They don't speak Chinese in there!(但那是香港片子啊!
Robert: They speak Cantonese. It's not Mandarin. but it's still Chinese!(他們說的是粵語。
Lewis:I’m just saying.(我只是打個比方而已。)
他們在寫這句話的時(shí)候,也時(shí)常用慵勤版的“I'm just say-en"來代替畸形版的“I'm just saying"
