K:Evan, take my picture here, OK? By this beautiful flower garden.
凱西:艾凡，幫我在這里拍張照，可以嗎?就在這座美麗的花園旁邊。
E:Sure. Just a minute. Let me take my camera out of my backpack. Let's see. Turn it on, point, check the light meter, and, and...huh?
艾凡:沒問題。稍等一下。讓我把相機(jī)從我的背包里拿出來。我看看。打開電源、取景、檢查光圈和……和……呃?
K:What's the matter?
凱西:怎么了?
E:I'm not sure. What the...?
艾凡:我不是很清楚。這怎么……?
K:Is it broken?
凱西:相機(jī)壞了嗎?
E:I hope not! This camera cost me a fortune. Oh, wait a minute. I see.
艾凡:我希望沒有!這臺相機(jī)花了我好大一筆錢。哦，等一下，我知道了。
K:What is it?

E:It's as simple as this: the batteries are worn down. I'd better replace them. That's OK. I need more film anyway.

K:Where can we get batteries?

E:All photography shops carry them. There are plenty of kiosks here in Tivoli. One of them must sell film.

K:OK. Let's take a walk and look for a shop that does.
凱西:好吧。咱們散散步順便找一家有賣膠卷的小報攤。
E:They'll cost more here than outside the park, but I don't want to walk that far.
艾凡:雖然公園里面賣的膠卷比外面賣的貴，但是我不想走那么遠(yuǎn)的路。
K:I don't mind. Wherever you walk in Copenhagen is like a garden!
凱西:我不介意。在哥本哈根任何地方走路都好象在花園走路一樣!

E:Well, we've packed the car. Let's get going.
艾凡:嗯，我們把東西都放到車上了。咱們出發(fā)吧。
K:Aw, Evan. What's the rush? Let's take another walk around the pond. Maybe we can feedthe ducks.
凱西:呃，艾凡。急什么呢?咱們再到池塘邊走走吧。也許我們可以喂鴨子。
E:Next time. See those clouds? They look like thunderheads. I think we'd better head for thecar.
艾凡:下次吧?？吹侥切┰屏藛?它們看起來像是積雨云。我想我們最好回車上去。
K:Come on, Evan. Just another 15 minutes, that's all.
凱西:別這樣嘛，艾凡。只要十五分鐘就好了。
E:Well, OK. There's still some bread left over. We can feed the ducks with it.Evan goes back tothe car, fetches the bread, and returns to Kathy.
艾凡:嗯，好吧。還剩下一點(diǎn)面包。我們可以用它來喂鴨子。艾凡回到車上，拿了面包再回到凱西身邊。
K:Gee, thanks, honey. That was sweet. I thought I saw a couple of ducklings in the bushes.
凱西:哇，謝謝你，親愛的。你真好。我想我剛看到那邊的草叢里有幾只小鴨子。
E:OK. after a few minutes' walk,Uh, where did you say those ducklings were? I can't see veryclearly. No wonder! Look! That thunderhead is right overhead now.
艾凡:那就走吧。呃，你說的那些小鴨子在哪里?我沒辦法看得很清楚。抬頭看了天空,難怪!看!積雨云現(xiàn)在就在我們正上空。
K:Oh, it's starting to rain! Hurry! Back to the car.
凱西:啊，開始下雨了!快!回車上去。
E:It's too late for that. We're too far. Let's take that path into the woods over there.Remember that small wooden hut we saw there?
艾凡:來不及了。我們離車子太遠(yuǎn)了。咱們抄那條小路到樹林里吧。記得我們在樹林里看到的那間小木屋嗎?
K:Yeah. Let's hurry! It's starting to pour!
凱西:記得。咱們快一點(diǎn)!開始下大雨了!

E:As the Chinese say, "All feasts must come to an end."
艾凡:就如中國人說的:“天下無不散的宴席。”
K:Where did you hear that saying?
凱西:你在哪里聽到這句諺語的?
E:I read it in a book somewhere. It's a very interesting proverb. Nothing lasts forever, does it?
艾凡:我在某處的一本書上看過這句話。那是一句很有趣的成語。任何事物都不能永久持續(xù)下去，是不是?
K:Well, I suppose true love does.
凱西:不過，我認(rèn)為真愛能永恒持續(xù)。
E:Uh, yeah, I guess that could be true.
艾凡:呃，也許吧，我猜想那可能是真的。
K:What do you mean, you "guess" it could be true?
凱西:你是什么意思，你“猜想”那可能是真的?
E:Well, uh, I've never, I mean I've never actually been in love before, you know, I mean, with,with someone outside my family.

K:Well, I have.

E:Oh? When was that?

E:Anyway, I've really enjoyed traveling in Europe with you, Kathy. You're a great partner. Youdon't complain much, your habits are OK, and you have a great sense of humor.
艾凡:不管怎樣，凱西，和你同游歐洲我真的很快樂。你是一個很棒的游伴。不怎么會抱怨、你的習(xí)慣還好，而且很有幽默感。
K:Well, thank you! And you, Mr. Whiting, are a good partner, too. Would you like to do thisagain?
凱西:嗯，謝了!而你懷汀先生也是一個很好的游伴。你想再來這樣一趟旅行嗎?
E:Yes, actually, I would. But after we pay off this trip!
艾凡:想呀，實(shí)際上，我會的。但是要在我們付清這趟旅行的費(fèi)用之后才行!
