The husband laughed and said: An English girl!
The woman kept quiet and left.
Two weeks later he picked her up in the airport and asked: So honey, how was the trip?
The wife: Very good, thank you.
The husband: And, what happened to my present?
The wife: Which present?
The husband: What I asked for: the English girl?
The wife: Oh, that! Well, I did what I could; now we have to wait a few months to see if it's a girl.
四年級下冊英語笑話:你知道我是干嘛的嗎
Do you know my work?
One night a hotel caught fire, and the people who were staying in it ran out in their night clothes.
Two men stood outside and looked at the fire.
"Before I came out," said one, "I ran into some of the rooms and found a lot of money. People don't think of money when they're afraid. When anyone leaves paper money in a fire, the fire burns it. So I took all the bills that I could find. No one will be poorer because I took them."
"You don't know my work," said the other.
"What is your work?"
"I'm a policeman."
"Oh!" cried the first man. He thought quickly and said, "And do you know my work?"
"No," said the policeman.
"I'm a writer. I always write about things that never happened."

四年級下冊英語笑話:為什么不給我打電話
Why do you never phone me
Mrs Harris lives in a small village. Her husband is dead, but she has one son. He is twenty-one and his name is Geoff. He once worked in a shop in the village and lived with his mother, but then he got work in a town and went and lived there. Its name was Greensea. It was quite a long way from his mother's village, and she was not happy about this, but Geoff said, "There isn't any good work for me in the country, Mother, and I can get a lot of money in Greensea and send you some every week."
Mrs Harris was very angry last Sunday. She got in a train and went to her son's house in Greensea. Then she said to him, "Geoff, why do you never phone me?"
Geoff laughed. "But, Mother", he said, "you haven't got a phone."
"No," she answered, "I haven't, but YOU HAVE got one!"
