　　求職應聘英文面試技巧

　　● 英文的面試問題類型有限：大部分問題可以預測。

　　● 面談時間不長：英語面試一般不會超過10分鐘，求職者回答的時間有限。

　　● 回答內容比較固定：大部分提問都對應較為穩(wěn)妥的回答，求職者有充分的時間準備。

　　● 招聘方的考查目的：對程序員的英語要求在于能讀、能寫、能交流。

　　本章列出一些常見的英文問題及參考回答，同時還提供了許多面試中常見的英語詞匯供參考。

　　1 英文面試過程和技巧

　　自我介紹時應該記住“3P原則”：Positive(自信)，Personal(個性)，Pertinent(中肯)。

　　● 談吐自信，就是要積極地進行自我肯定，讓面試官充分了解求職者的優(yōu)點與潛能。

　　● 突出個性，就是要把自己與眾不同的特點發(fā)揮出來，強調自己的專業(yè)與能力。

　　● 語言中肯，就是要實事求是，不要言過其辭，夸夸其談，也不要涉及與工作無關的事情。

　　自我介紹應簡潔明了，給面試官留下思路清晰、反應快捷、邏輯性強的印象。自我介紹時間不宜太長，最好控制在五分鐘之內，以免言多語失。

　　另外，在自我介紹時應避免過多地使用“I”(“我”)，每個句子一開頭就冒出一個“I”字，會給人留下自我標榜、以自我為中心的印象。靈活的應聘者往往會把以“I”開頭的話，變成“You”字開頭。

　　下面是一些面試中的注意事項

　　(1)自我介紹不要面面俱到。

　　自我介紹時首先用一句話陳述自己的基本特征，然后迅速進入正題，選擇自己最引以為傲的經歷敘述。切記，面試官一般會承接求職者的自我介紹發(fā)問，所以在做自我介紹時最好不要涉及特別難講清楚的事情或者比較抽象的概念。

　　(2)忌語速過快。

　　劍橋大學的一項調查顯示，語速快一般體現(xiàn)不同的人具備的兩種不同特質，一種是思維和語言反應能力強且協(xié)調的人，另一種是處事急躁的人。英文面試的第一目的是讓招聘方了解求職者，最重要的是展示綜合素質，絕非單單的語言能力，所以面試中應該首先力求表達清晰。另外，語速過快容易給人不自信、不穩(wěn)重的感覺。

　　(3)語言盡量簡單直接。

　　習慣于堆砌華麗詞藻的人期待在面試中用大氣磅礴的英文演講征服面試官，其實犯了舍本逐末的錯誤。虛擬語氣、倒裝句和長詞冗句不要在面試中使用太多.

　　A、關于工作(About Job)

　　實際工作中，員工常常需要不斷學習和勇于承擔責任，求職者如果能表現(xiàn)出這種素質，會給應聘方留下良好的印象。

　　面試例題1：What range of pay-scale are you interested in?

　　(你感興趣的薪水標準在哪個層次?)

　　參考答案

　　Money is important, but the responsibility that goes along with this job is what interests me the most.(薪水固然重要，但這工作伴隨而來的責任更吸引我。)

　　假如你有家眷，可以說：

　　To be frank and open with you, I like this job, but I have a family to support.

　　(坦白地說，我喜歡這份工作，不過我必須要負擔我的家庭。)

　　面試例題2：What do you want most from your work?

　　(你最希望從工作中得到什么?)

　　答案: I hope to get a kind of learning to get skills from my work. Though I have studied in school for nearly 16 years, I have only learned knowledge. In the university, I got no chance to see real life and didn’t get working skills. So I want to learn some working skills and become a professional in an industry. 　　面試例題4：What do you hope this job will give you?

　　(你最希望這份工作給予你什么?)

　　答案 I hope this job will give me a chance to take responsibility. In more than ten years’ of study as a student, I have never taken any responsibility in any real sense or earned money for a company. I think people can only become mature by taking on responsibility. I hope this work will give me the chance to develop fully. 　　面試例題6：What can you offer this company?(你能為公司做出什么貢獻呢?)

　　答案 In addition to the skills and experiences we discussed, I'm an extremely hard worker, I'm very thorough and methodical, I get along great with people, and I'm a quick learner. (除了我們剛才討論過的技能和經歷之外，我是一個工作非常努力的人，我工作很認真，而且很有辦法，我能與大家相處得非常好，并且我學得很快。)

　　面試例題7：Great! So when can you start?

　　答案 Silence is gold. Just don't say anything, otherwise the situation could become worse. I do, however, accept constructive criticism.

　　面試例題10：What do you find frustrating in a work situation?

　　面試例題14：Why did you leave your last job?(你為什么離職呢?)

　　答案 Well, I am hoping to get an offer of a better position. If opportunity knocks, I will take it.

　　I feel I have reached the glass ceiling in my current job. I feel there is no opportunity for advancement. (我覺得目前的工作，已經達到頂峰，即沒有升遷機會。)

　　B、關于個人(About Person)

　　有時候招聘方會提到有關求職者的個人信息的話題，以此判斷求職者是否符合他們的要求。例如有些工作需要方言和人脈，適合本地人來做;有些工作需要經常出差，單身的人就有優(yōu)勢。但是有些問題涉及到個人隱私，求職者不方便回答，例如招聘方問：“I noticed you're wearing a wedding ring. Do you have any children?”這時最好的回答就是“Why do you ask?”這樣可以掌握主動，了解招聘方真正的意圖，也許招聘方只是想知道求職者是否能長時間留在他們公司。

　　面試例題15：What leadership qualities did you develop as an administrative personnel? (作為行政人員，你有什么樣的領導才能?)

　　答案I feel that learning how to motivate people and to work together as a team will be the major goal of my leadership.

　　(我覺得學習如何把人們的積極性調動起來，以及如何配合協(xié)同的團隊精神，是我管理工作的主要目標。)

　　I have refined my management style by using an open-door policy.

　　(我以開放式的政策，改進我的管理方式。)

　　面試例題16：How would your friends or colleagues describe you?

　　(你的朋友或同事怎樣評價你?)

　　答案Pause a few seconds. (稍等幾秒鐘再答，表示慎重考慮。)

　　They say Mr. Chen is an honest, hardworking and responsible man who deeply cares for his family and friends.

　　(他們說陳先生是位誠實、工作努力、負責任的人，他對家庭和朋友都很關心。)

　　面試例題17：What are your strongest traits?(你個性上最大的特點是什么?)

　　答案 Helpfulness and caring.(樂于助人和關心他人。)

　　面試例題18：What personality traits do you admire?(你欣賞哪種性格的人?)

　　答案 I admire a person who is honest, flexible and easy-going.

　　面試例題19：How do you handle your failure?(你怎樣對待自己的失敗?)

　　答案 None of us was born perfect. I am sure I will be given a second chance to correct my mistake.(我們大家生來都不是十全十美的，我相信我有第二次機會改正我的錯誤。)

　　面試例題20：What's your greatest weakness? (你最大的缺點是什么?)

　　答案 西方老板特別愛問這個問題，讓求職者感到很緊張。事實上，這個問題是考查求職者對棘手問題的反應。你沒必要如實回答你的弱點，因為那有可能讓你得不到這份工作。相反，你可以告訴他們一些與工作不直接相關的事情。

　　例如可以按照下面的方式回答。

　　● I tend to drive myself too hard.(我總是讓自己太辛苦)

　　● I expect others to perform beyond their capacities

　　● I like to see a job done quickly, and I'm critical if it isn't.

　　面試例題21：How do you rate yourself as a professional?

　　(你如何評估自己是位專業(yè)人員呢?)

　　答案 With my strong academic background, I am capable and competent.

　　(憑借我良好的學術背景，我可以勝任自己的工作，而且我認為自己很有競爭力。)

　　面試例題22：If you had a lot of money to donate, where would you donate it to?Why?(假如你有很多錢可以捐贈，你會捐給什么單位?為什么?)

　　答案 I would donate it to the medical research because I want to do something to help others. (我會捐給醫(yī)藥研究，因為我要為他人做點事。)

　　I prefer to donate it to educational institutions.(我樂意捐給教育機構。)

　　面試例題23：What kinds of people do you like to work with?

　　(你喜歡和什么樣的人一起工作?)

　　答案 I like to work with people who have pride, honesty, integrity, and dedication to their work.(我喜歡和有自尊、為人正直誠實、并且樂于奉獻的人一塊兒工作。)

　　C、關于未來(About Future)

　　有時候招聘方會問求職者有關未來的問題，目的就是了解應聘者做事的風格，以及應聘者對這份工作的看法。當然由于求職者還不是很了解自己所應聘的工作，因此在回答問題時并不一定面面俱到，大致說明自己的計劃目標就好了。

　　面試例題24：Could you project what you would like to be doing five years from now? (你能預料五年后你會做什么嗎?)

　　答案 As I have some software management experience in my last job, I may use my organizational and planning skills in the future.

　　(我在上一個工作中積累了一些軟件管理經驗，我將來也許要運用我組織和計劃上的經驗和技巧。)

　　I hope to demonstrate my ability and talents in my field adequately.

　　(我希望能充分展示我在這個行業(yè)的能力和智慧。)

　　Perhaps, an opportunity at a management position would be exciting.

　　(也許有機會，我將會從事管理工作。)

　　如果不愿正面回答，也可以說：It would be premature for me to predict this.(現(xiàn)在對此問題的預測，尚嫌過早。)

　　甚至還可以打趣的說：Hypothetically speaking, I might be able to do your current job as a software project manager.(CEO / president。)

　　(說不定，我也能做你現(xiàn)在軟件項目經理的工作呢!)

　　面試例題25：What specific goals have you established for your career?

　　(你在職業(yè)方面有什么特殊的目標?)

　　答案 My goals include becoming an expert software project manager, so I can obtain a better working knowledge of both software technology and communication with my clients, which would allow me contribute to my client base as a better software services since I would have that extra insight into the requirements they are looking for. 　　答案 I would like take the following steps. First of all I￠m stduying some kinds of software technologies including system programming and application programming. Secondly，I will learning how to communicate with both my team members and my clients. Finally I can find my strongest suit which is toward to type of technology or type of management.
