At home we can save water and electricity. When we leave a room, we should turn off the lights. At school we can collect waste paper and recycle things, such as bottles, cans and plastic bags. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. The more you speak, the fewer mistakes you’ll make. We'd better join the English club and practice with others. Third, we can read more English newspapers and magazines. It’s good for us. At last, we should recite some good passages and keep diaries.

家鄉(xiāng)的變化The Changes of My Hometown
My hometown is located at the outside of the city. I was born and grew up there. It was a little village with natural scenery of green mountains, a beautiful river and lovely village houses. In the summer, I liked to go to picnic under the mountain and swim in the river. But now my hometown has changes. The mountains were blown down to build the factories, and the river was polluted by the waste water from those factories. There are no more green mountains but the smoking factories. The water of the river turns black and stinks, I can never swim in it again. And the village houses are gone too, the ugly storied houses with walls are instead. They said it is the way urbanizing is. I don’t like the changes of my hometown, it is a polluted hometown.
我的家鄉(xiāng)坐落在城市外。我在那里出生和長(zhǎng)大。它是一個(gè)小村莊，有著綠色的山、美麗的河還有漂亮的小屋的自然的風(fēng)景。夏天里，我喜歡去山腳下野炊，到河里游泳。但是現(xiàn)在我的家鄉(xiāng)變了。群山被炸平用來(lái)建工廠，河水被這些工廠里的廢水所污染。再也沒(méi)有綠色的山，只有冒著煙的工廠。河里的水變成黑色還散發(fā)惡臭，我再也不能在里面游泳了。還有那些小屋也消失了，取而代之的是丑陋的帶圍墻的樓房。他們說(shuō)這就是城市化。我不喜歡家鄉(xiāng)的變化，這是一個(gè)被污染了的家鄉(xiāng)。
